22 JUN – Somatic Dance

In Uncategorized by Mo Thissen

Whether you seek healing, liberation, or pure joy, Somatic Dance offers a pathway to harmonise and balance the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual self.

All of you is Welcome…

Together, we create a sacred container where movement is medicine, self-expression is celebrated, and easier to just be yourself. Let’s dance, honour our bodies, and embrace the joy of being alive. We look forward to sharing this transformative journey with you.

What’s the Difference Between Ecstatic Dance & Somatic Dance?

Somatic Dance is intentionally structured with a facilitator and DJ, weaving together guided movement, ritual, and immersive soundscapes to create a finely tuned, trauma- informed space for healing, connection, and self-discovery.

While both offerings provide an environment to break free from patterns and self-judgment, fully immerse in the music, and reach a trance-like state. Somatic Dance focuses on the internal physical experience, encouraging participants to move intuitively and respond to the body’s natural cues. It blends somatic awareness, movement meditation, and guided facilitation, making it a deeply personal and embodied practice.

For each dance we have an embodiment, (such as lungs, heart, bones) to focus intention; an elemental presence and a somatic principle. With this added depth of experience participants are often amazed by the profound wisdom their bodies reveal through movement.

What to Expect on the 90-Minute Journey

Each session is an immersive experience, flowing through: 5-Rythym Ecstatic Dance Wave – welcoming arrival to ground and begin to find movement & flow in your body. ♫♫♫ Guided Movement – Somatic-based sequences blend yoga and intuitive dance to awaken body awareness.

Freeform Dance Move freely and expressively, surrendering to the peak rhythms of the music.

Partner & Group Exercises – Engage in connection- based movement activities to build trust and community.

Cool Down & Integration – End with a gentle inward reflection and closing circle to integrate your experience.

Join us in this sacred dance container, where every step is a journey inward, and every movement is a celebration of life.
